Frozen In Time: A Blog On Photography

Perspective is how one views the world; a picture is capturing that perspective in a way that other people can relate to it.

I am Kayla Wade, and I am an amatuer photographer. I believe that God has given each of us different gifts and talents to use to bring Him glory. We can choose to recognize those things that God has given us a passion and a talent for, and to further develop them.
Photography is one of many mediums that can be used to reflect the beauty of God's creation. I love taking pictures of the masterpieces that God has created; from a glorious sunset on a lake, to the soaring heights of the mountaintops, to the people that God created in His image. The beauty of creation is all around us, but will we recognize it?

A picture takes a moment, a memory, and freezes it in time. As a photographer, it's important to decide what kind of memories you want to preserve. A picture may speak a thousand words, but what is being spoken by those words? Do the words simply speak, do they whisper, or do they even scream? Do they tell of times past, or do they give hope and inspiration for the future? Do they paint a mysterious, eerie picture? Or do they paint a bright, vibrant picture?

I am going to write about photography over the next few weeks. I hope that what I write will cause you to think about the gifts God has given you, and how you can use them to edify and build up the Body, and bring the lost to Christ. What do you have a passion for?

Dios te bendiga,
Kayla

Good thoughts! Keep snapping the shutter. If you speak to me when you see me I'll tell you how you can post some of your photos here.
