During Beth's intro, she mentioned she took a survey of women all ages, all backgrounds and beliefs and asked them this question. One of the most common answers was hormones. Also, the top three answers were submission (yielding), balance and again, hormones.

In the study the first point she wants us to consider is that it is tough being a woman in another woman's shadow.

Although for many of us there may be one particular woman, I was thinking of it in terms of the shadow of what our culture projects. Somehow a woman is to be a super wife, super Mom, excell at her job, help out at all activites, have perfect weight, be attractive, bright and physically fit. If you are getting older, somehow you are supposed to look young and not get wrinkles and be a super Grandmother. Wow! Great reasons for our security to be in Christ.
