The Personality of Satan
We believe that Satan is a person, the author of sin and the cause of the Fall of Man; that he is the open and declared enemy of God and man; and that he shall be eternally punished in the Lake of Fire. (Job:1:6-7 [6] Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them.
[7] And the LORD said to Satan, "From where do you come?" So Satan answered the LORD and said, "From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it."
; Isa:14:12-17 [12] " How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [How] you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations!
[13] For you have said in your heart: 'I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north;
[14] I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.'
[15] Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit.
[16] "Those who see you will gaze at you, [And] consider you, [saying: ] '[Is] this the man who made the earth tremble, Who shook kingdoms,
[17] Who made the world as a wilderness And destroyed its cities, [Who] did not open the house of his prisoners?'
; Matt:4:2-11 [2] And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry.
[3] Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, "If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread."
[4] But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.' "
[5] Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple,
[6] and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: 'He shall give His angels charge over you,' and, 'In [their] hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.' "
[7] Jesus said to him, "It is written again, 'You shall not tempt the LORD your God.' "
[8] Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.
[9] And he said to Him, "All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me."
[10] Then Jesus said to him, "Away with you, Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.' "
[11] Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.
; Matt:25:41"Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:; Rev:20:10The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet [are.] And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.)
