Separation
We believe that all the saved should live in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Savior and Lord. God commands His people to separate from all religious apostasy, all worldly and sinful pleasures, practices, and associations, and to refrain from all immodest and immoderate appearances. (Rom 12:1-2 [1] I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, [which is] your reasonable service.
[2] And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what [is] that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
; Rom 14:13Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in [our] brother's way.
; 2 Cor 6:14-18 [14] Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?
[15] And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever?
[16] And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will dwell in them And walk among [them.] I will be their God, And they shall be My people."
[17] Therefore "Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you."
[18] "I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the LORD Almighty."
; 2 Cor 7:1Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
; 2 Tim 3:1-5 [1] But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:
[2] For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
[3] unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good,
[4] traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
[5] having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
; 1 John 2:15-17; 2 John 1:9-11; Lev 19:28'You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I [am] the LORD.
; 1 Cor 6:19-20 [19] Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit [who is] in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
[20] For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
